Is your show trending downward? Consider these suggestions:
Find out why. Ask everyone, including attendees and exhibitors. Is your industry changing? Is there less need for a face-to-face event? In contrast, is your competition doing well? If they are, why?
Expand your universe. Bring in another audience segment. Partner with a compatible show or conference. Launch a co-located show or pavilion. Reach out to all who are involved in your target market.
Change. Adopt a new name, logo, graphic look. Move to a different city. Change your pattern (weekend to weekday or vice versa). Drop a show day. Move to a hotel/move to a convention center. Convert to a series of regional events.
Reinvent yourself. Become a strong conference/small exhibit. Allow only high-price, 10x10 booths. Restrict attendance to top quality power buyers. Have prospects apply to attend. Or do the reverse and open the show to any and all (e.g. have a consumer day).
Don't wait until you fall off the cliff. Do something now to reverse the situation.
