Do not make visitors navigate through your association or corporate website to find information on your specific show. Point them directly to the show’s home page, such as www.widget.com/fall2001.
Do not lock potential attendees out by making them register before they can obtain any information. Instead, ask them to register only after they have requested that more information be sent to them. Have them "opt-in" (give permission) to receive future e-communications.
Avoid complex graphics and other "flash" that tend to increase the download time. Remember: up to 80% of your target audience may be on dial-up with a 56K modem or less.
